Our Management

The Vollers Group consists of 13 locations in Europe, with about 420 employees, 190 in Bremen and 80 in Hamburg. An additional round 150 employees are distributed across the other 9 European subsidiaries. At all locations, Vollers places great emphasis on internationality, because a total of 13 nationalities look after of your commodity every day. The Vollers Group is managed by a director team consisting of 3 people:

Group Director Christian Vollers

Christian Vollers

Born 1973 in Bremen and being the grandson of the founder, Berthold Vollers, Christian started his career with a education as a logistics manager at Kühne & Nagel AG Bremen, followed up by a Bachelor of Arts in supply chain management, a Master of Management as well as a number of internships in Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Latin America and Uganda before he entered his father’s company in 2001. 

After 5 years Christian became the co-Managing Director and since 2013 he is the sole owner of the Vollers Group.

Group Director Matijs Brand

Matijs Brand

Matijs was born in 1972 and joined the Vollers Group in 2011. However, he had already been in close contact with the group for a number of years, having previously worked for a Vollers customer. Matijs studied Food Technology and graduated with a Master of Sciences. He gained further expertise and knowledge in various positions at the Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) before joining us.

Group Director Philipp Wacker

Philipp Wacker

Born in 1983, Philipp joined the Vollers Management Team in 2020. With a degree in business administration (2005-2009) he started his professional career being a head of auditing at various medium-sized auditing companies. From 2014 until 2017 he was the Assistant CFO and the Head of Group Accounting at CCG Holding AG and RUNGIS express GmbH, after that from 2017 until 2020 the Regional Head of Logistics at CCG GmbH as part of Metro AG.

Philipp is responsible for the business areas transport and strategy.
