Your Role
As a Risk, Insurance & Compliance Officer, you will play a central role within our organisation. You will be the primary point of contact for all matters related to insurance, claims handling, risk management, contract administration, real estate related files, and compliance issues.
You are equally comfortable interacting with our operational and technical teams as you are engaging with local and international management. You maintain a visible presence throughout the organisation, regularly visiting operational sites and activities in the field to proactively identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
You translate your observations into concrete actions, projects and policy proposals, and you ensure their effective implementation, follow-up and administrative completion.
Your tasks
What Will You Do?
- Manage and oversee all insurance-related matters within the company.
- Coordinate insurance claims and serve as the main point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyse risks and develop preventive measures to mitigate them.
- Manage and oversee all compliance activities related to employees and business processes across the entire organisation.
- Actively participate in risk inspections and site visits.
- Manage and monitor contracts and legal documentation.
- Support compliance, governance and audit processes.
- Oversee real estate-related matters and manage relationships with external partners.
- Initiate, coordinate and successfully deliver improvement and change management projects.
- Advise management, operational teams and technical teams on risks, procedures and best practices.
- Develop reports, procedures and policy documents.
- Act as an approachable and trusted point of contact for employees throughout the organisation.
Your profile
Who Are We Looking For?
We are not looking for a traditional administrative employee, but for an entrepreneurial professional with a broad interest and the ability to connect different areas of expertise.
You:
- Preferably hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Legal Practice, Finance and Insurance, Business Management, Real Estate, Facility Management, Law, Commercial Sciences, or Economics. A solid legal foundation is important to accurately assess contracts, insurance files, claims, and compliance-related matters. Equivalent experience in contract management, insurance, claims handling, risk management, real estate management, or compliance will also be considered.
- Are naturally curious and enjoy delving deeply into complex topics.
- Have an affinity with insurance, claims management, legal matters, compliance, or risk management.
- Are comfortable spending time on the work floor and understand that the best improvements arise from operational realities.
- Combine strong analytical skills with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
- Work in a structured manner and have a keen eye for detail.
- Are an effective communicator who can engage and influence people at all levels of the organisation.
- Can easily switch between strategic thinking, execution, and administrative follow-up.
- Possess excellent organisational skills.
- Are a natural project leader who not only initiates projects but also ensures their successful implementation and completion.
- Communicate fluently in both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of German is considered an asset.
