Your tasks

Customs clearance and operational support

• You will be the first point of contact for customers, authorities and customs on customs and foreign trade matters – including customs monitoring and the calculation of reference amounts.
• You will manage the administration of our Advantage Customs (AC) programme from DBH and liaise with the in-house IT department and DBH regarding updates, master data and access rights.
• You will prepare customs declarations for release for free circulation for coffee, cocoa and other goods – for both conventional and organically certified goods, as individual or consolidated declarations.
• You will be responsible for the monthly EGZ declaration as well as customs declarations for the customs warehouse.
• You will prepare T1 transit declarations and export declarations.
• You will maintain existing customs authorisations and apply for new ones, for example for bonded warehouses, simplified procedures or authorised consignor status.
• You will manage warehouse and stock levels, resolve discrepancies and carry out half-yearly stock-takes.
• You will assist with regular physical stock checks carried out by customs field officers.
• You will draw up and maintain processes and procedural guidelines as part of our AEO certification.

Sharing and developing knowledge

• You will support colleagues in preparing customs documentation and handling customs procedures.
• You will identify training needs relating to customs and international trade issues and organise appropriate training courses.
• You will keep your knowledge of customs, international trade, the EUDR, organic certification and other relevant topics up to date on an ongoing basis.
