Recruiting data protection declaration for applicants

2. PERSONAL DATA WE PROCESS

This privacy policy applies to all data collected and processed by Vollers Group GmbH in connection with applications at the locations within the Vollers Group.

3. WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?

Personal data is all data that can be traced back to the applicant as an individual. The following personal data are processed by Vollers Group GmbH:

  • First and last name

  • Telephone number

  • E-mail address

  • Address

  • Place of residence

  • Information from the applicant's curriculum vitae

  • Motivation of the applicant

  • Other personal data that an applicant actively provides in the application or in correspondence and by telephone

  • All other data that must be processed due to legal requirements.

4. WHAT DO WE USE PERSONAL DATA FOR?

Vollers Group GmbH processes your personal data when an applicant has applied for a vacancy and has given their consent to the processing of personal data. This data is used for the processing of the application, including the evaluation of the application in relation to the position applied for. If Vollers Group GmbH makes a job offer, personal data will also be used to make an offer. Special categories of personal data of applicants (such as political beliefs, health data, religious beliefs, etc.) are not collected and processed by Vollers Group GmbH.

Vollers Group GmbH does not use so-called "automated decision-making" during the application process. Automated decision-making means that decisions are made on the basis of automated data processing.

5. STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA

Vollers Group GmbH does not retain the personal data of applicants for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data was collected. We apply - as far as applicable - the legal retention periods.

Upon employment, personal data becomes part of an employee’s personnel file and is processed in accordance with the Vollers Group GmbH data protection declaration for employees of Vollers Group GmbH.

6. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

The employees of the personnel department of Vollers Group GmbH, the possible new supervisor and the interview partners during job interviews are given access to the personal data of the applicant. However, they will only be given access to this data if this is necessary for the assessment of the application in relation to the job.

Should Vollers Group GmbH involve a recruitment and selection agency or an assessment agency, the applicant will be informed of this in advance.

7. VIEW, CHANGE OR DELETE DATA

As an applicant, you have the right to view, correct or delete the personal data stored about you by Vollers Group GmbH. An applicant also has the right to object to the processing of their personal data or to withdraw their consent to the processing of personal data. In addition, an applicant has the right to data portability. This means that an applicant can request us to transfer the personal data we hold about the applicant in a computer file to the applicant or another organisation designated by the applicant. Finally, an applicant has the right to be forgotten and can request the deletion of any data we hold about them.  

8. HOW WE PROTECT PERSONAL DATA

Vollers Group GmbH takes numerous measures to protect the personal data of applicants. Within Vollers Group GmbH there are several specialists who work on a daily basis to secure our systems. It is also ensured that the personal data of all applicants is only accessible to those employees who need this information for their work.

9. QUESTIONS OR COMPLAINTS

If an applicant has any questions, suggestions, requests or complaints, they can email karriere@vollers.com. An applicant has the right to complain to a supervisory authority if they believe that the processing of data relating to them is in breach of data protection law. The right to complain may in particular be exercised before a supervisory authority in the Member State of the data subject's residence or place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

10. POWER TO AMEND

Vollers Group GmbH is entitled to amend this privacy policy by publishing the amended version of the privacy policy on this website. This Privacy Policy was last amended on 14 September 2022.
